I’ve been tagged!
I ‘ve bee tagged by the wonderful wedding photo-journalist Samm Blake!
Here are the rules!
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 5 songs you are embarrassed to admit to others you like and tell why.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Here are my 5 top songs – not necessarily embarrasing, just a little random:
1.Crocodile Rock – Elton John
My best friend Bree and I use to dance to this and sing all the words by heart! Still one of my BIG faves (I was Suzie ofcourse!!). Good ol’Elt!
2. Walk of Life – Dire Straits
This is like a family anthem…i can remember dancing to this with my Pa when i was about 4…Love it!
3. Bolero – Ravel
This clasical piece is one of the most amazing pieces of music i have ever heard…it just builds and builds! Another sentimental favourite…my cousins and my siblings and i use to prance around the lounge room to it!
4. At Last – Eta James
I absolutely love LOVE this song. So amazing…
5. Eye of the Tiger – Survivor
Weird – but this is the first song i was ever serenaded with! My partner Chris is a true romantic!
I’m following Arlene’s lead and rather than tagging 7 other people i’m going to supply 7 interesting links:
1. Inspirational Jessica: http://jessicaclaire.net/

An oldie but a goodie
Just sorting through some previous weddings to get together some porfolio shots for the new site (www.paperandlace.com.au) and found this one of Jana and Dan….so cute! =)
oh my goodness…!
I am a little embarrassed about my lack of blogging! its been forever since i have posted. i am so slack! =/
I have recently been in Brissy for PMA with one of my great friends Samm Blake. Was a fab trip – despite the flash flooding and storms!!
I learnt a lot of useful bits and pieces from the expo re products and services that Jemma and i can utilise in our new business Paper and Lace Photography!

Bridal Expo with Arls
Last weekend I helped Arlene Bax (Arls) with her stall at the Dusk Bridal Expo. It was great fun! Arlene had a cute set up with a funky couch, beautiful photographs and amazing albums. We me soo0o many new Brides to be – it was great.
My eyes were also opened to the huge amount of effort that so many retailers go to, to get organised for the show!
Our great friend Samm Blake also exhibited with an ‘out of this world’ stall! It was truly amazing and so much effort went into it! Check it out at her blog!!
Also thanks to Kirsty – Aksent Photography for taking some pics!!!

ben lee and waso @ kings park

ben lee played with waso at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial, Kings Park & Botanic Garden’s on friday 29th of feb. bree and i got there super early so we could get a spot right on the edge of the pond. i would recommend doing it for any concert in kings park as we had an uninterupted view of the stage! was awesome. great picnic and some beautiful harewood estate SSB we settled in for the evening! new rules for boats played first and they were great. the lead girl had a really different voice. then mandy moore played a set and i must admit i was pleasantly surprised and impressed…on to ben lee and waso for what was one of the most entertaining live acts ive seen. the orchestra was amazing! ben was just as excited at the experience as the crowd were which made it all the more rewarding to watch. will def keep an eye out for similar events in the future!

even the ducks loved it =P
And to top the night off – the lady who ruined the potential 2nd encore by jumping on stage and professing her love for ben (or something…) totally freaked him out as you would expect!!

how embarrasing – poor ben…

Besides the drama of the encore the concert was absolutely amazing! thanks ben lee and waso!!

More Nat and Shan with some funky fine art filters…
So I am coming to the close of editing for Nat and Shan’s wedding and decided to have a bit of fun with some of my favourite shots. I just took some random photos of concrete, carpet, walls etc around my office and used them like a screen to add texture and grain to the images. Its a lot of fun and quite rewarding to see the images transform into something new!
Here’s a few i think are great!
